<Brave response essay>

"Brave". This was a movie that  I recently watched. Before I saw the movie, I thought it is lost girl's adventure, but it wasn't. It was a very touching movie because of the change of fate and conflict between the mom and a princess Merida. So, let me start response with some ideas to this movie.

First of all, I'll talk about Merida and her mom's relationship. They are totally different from each other. Merida loves to do archery and she is a very active girl. She is also good at sports. But on the other hand, her mom has strict rules to teach Merida. She just pushed Merida. So, she is really different from Merida's characteristics She didn't want to be princess. She just wanted free and happiness, not strict, limited things. Thus, I think the conflict between Merida and her mom, Elinor is bound to happen. My opinion is the solution wasn't good. They just fight and Merida tried to change her fate. After, her mom became bear because of a spell Merida had put on her the spell was broken. I understand that director make the tapestry solution because it's a movie. However, when we just see that story, the solving does not fit to my thinking I want talking and conversation, the problem with negotiation between each other.

Secondly is fate changing. In the movie, wisps lead some road to change fate, But Merida meets a witch, Merida made her mom into be bear, with the witches' spell. Then, after, she tried hard with some adventures, she changed her mom back again. In this part, I could learn a proverb. Fate cannot be change with magic or other's force. We just can work. So, I realized that when the big wall is in front of me, I'll try to get out if it, knock it down. Not ignore it, not call help to others. Myself, on my effort, I have to do it, no one except me. 

Finally, I want to discuss my opinion about what the bear symbolizes. If I change into bear one day suddenly, I'll feel very bad and have to have serious days of rears. Like what Merida's mom, Elinor did in movie. But, I think there's some meaning. There's an allegory about changing into a bear. I think that means a step to charge fate. If there's a conflict, we need some time to release and solve. We need to solve some angry feelings. I can analyse it in different way, too. We can say with fate changing of changing fate with magic, in my opinion.

In conclusion, today, I talked about my opinion of the movie, "Brave". I hope that conflict's solving method will become different if we can remake the movie. But, I still like this movie because it shows love between mom and daughter. I recommand this movie to  everyone because this movie is very touching and I think people can get different feelings each as an old.
